Definition of resectable stage III NSCLC by means of a clinical case review

14 September 2023

Dr Mariana Brandao, medical oncologist at Jules Bordet Institute in Brussels, presented the multidisciplinary clinical case review by a pan-European expert panel that was one of the three initiatives from the EORTC – Lung Cancer Group to establish a consensus definition of resectability in stage III-non-small cell lung cancer. The aim of this review was to define subgroups of cases based on T (tumor location, size and relation with thoracic structures) and N (lymph-node involvement) considered to be resectable.
