Definition of resectable stage III NSCLC: a systematic literature review

17 September 2023

Dr Eleni Xenophontos, a medical oncologist and clinical research physician at the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) in Brussels, presented a systematic literature review that was part of a global EORTC Lung Cancer Group initiative to provide a consensual definition on resectability in stage III NSCLC. By means of a systematic review of the literature from 2007-2023, they aimed to identify the definitions used by investigators when to proceed to surgery in stage III; the medical specialties involved in the decision and the work-up required for the decision process.
