Decoding Inter- and Intra-Tumor Heterogeneity in Lobular Breast Cancer Using Spatial Transcriptomics and Clustering Analysis
Invasive lobular breast carcinoma (ILC) represents 5 to 15% of all invasive breast cancers. Recent studies showed the importance of tumour microenvironment (TME) heterogeneity on patient outcome. Dr. Serra, a PhD student at the Jules Bordet Institute in Brussels presented research to characterize TME spatial heterogeneity by performing clustering analysis on spatial transcriptomics (ST) data in frozen ILC tumour samples.
